Silvia  C. Newell, CPA

Silvia Newell's drive, passion, and analytical mind, along with her entrepreneurial spirit makes her ideally suited to be the Trusted Business Advisor for small to medium closely held businesses.   She brings to her role as Certified Public Accountant more than 25 years of diverse tax, accounting and business consulting experience.

As the tax laws become more complicated, Silvia is uniquely able to help individuals navigate those complications for the best tax outcome.  Her tax experience includes business, individual, estates, trusts and nonprofits.

Silvia is Certified Public Accountant, and a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Columbus State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Silvia has gained extensive accounting and business experience through her supervisory and management roles in a variety of companies.  She is the managing partner, as well as one of the founding partners of Newell & Newell, P.C.

Thomas E. Newell, Jr., CPA

Thomas E. Newell, Jr. is the CPA's trainer.  Tom's vast knowledge of auditing and accounting is presented in a high quality, high energy, memorable style as he leads continuing education seminars for the Certified Public Accounting profession.

Tom is a frequent presenter at educational seminars and conferences for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and other state societies all over the  United States.  In addition to presenting continuing education courses, Tom has been a presenter and consultant to Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, and national and international Certified Public Accounting firms.

Tom is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Georgia Southwestern College, graduating cum laude.

Tom gained his auditing and accounting experience through senior accounting and management roles with various companies, and national and local certified public accounting firms.   Tom has been involved in the Peer Review Program of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since its inception, serving on the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants Peer Review Committee and acting as the Technical Review for the program.  He is one of the founding partners of Newell & Newell, P.C.
